HEREFORD LEISURE CENTRE The simplest routes to Hereford are via the M4 or the M5. We recommend that you use Sat Nav or take a road atlas and if possible we highly recommend AA’s on-line route planner, which you can find at: www.theaa.com Via the M5 (Junction 8 – Ross on Wye - Hereford) Come off the M5 Motorway at Junction 8, to join the M50 (bound for Ross-on-Wye, Momouth, South Wales). Follow the M50 (ignore the first sign for Hereford at Junction 2) all the way until it automatically turns in to the A40 at Junction 4. You are now on Via the M4 (Newport – Ross on Wye – Hereford) When travelling westbound on the M4, you will go over the Severn Toll Bridge (fee charged) and in to South Wales. Leave the Leave the M4 at Newport (Junction 24, signposted Monmouth). You will see a big hotel on a hillside, just before you have to leave the motorway. After leaving the motorway, you will come to a roundabout. Keep in the middle lanes and come off at the third exit marked A449, Monmouth. Follow the A449, which automatically turns in to the A40. Continue along the A40, you will eventually go through a tunnel under a bridge, then pass through Monmouth. Stay forward at the lights, and take the second exit at the roundabout which is 200 yards after the lights. Stay on the A40, you will go past a Happy Eater on your left and eventually come to another roundabout, you will have large a petrol station to your right. Take the first exit marked A49, Hereford. The A49 will lead you all the way to Hereford. Once in Hereford: Follow the A49 into Hereford and you will go past a large Toyota and Saab garage on your left. Shortly afterwards the speed will drop to 30mph as you enter Hereford itself. You will pass a small petrol station on your right. Continue forward (past Asda on your left). Go over the bridge, heading towards Hereford Town Centre. After the bridge take the left hand lane, and keep heading forward until you pass a big Garage on your left called Steels, and there will also be a big Tesco's on your right. There is plenty of free parking at the leisure centre. Related Links: |
