Viper Standard Groin Guard

This is a great groin guard, and for £5.99, you cant really get a better deal. I would say however that i do not believe that this was made for BJJ or any ground fighting, but really durable and strong for stand up training.

This is the only review i have felt compelled to write as I purchased 2 of these for my boys (18 & 19!) over 2 years ago and they are still going strong! Just about to order 2 more when they are in stock as elastic starting to fray but no where near breaking point.

The only complaint they have mentioned is that the cup size should be wider as mentioned on other reviews. All in all a great product for the price and look far better in black!

cups are a little narrow so it might be a good idea to buy a size up and if you really need too then simply stitch down the waist to make it smaller.

silicone rubber around the actual cup could be thicker and more comfortable but all in all its a really really good groin guard for both stand up and ground work!

This is my first VIPER product. Easily the best groin guard I've ever bought. Very well made & well fitting. I bought it in the colour black, as I've always found white ones soon gets grubby, no matter how often they're washed. The pouch that holds the plastic cup appears to be made from some type of (Dry-Fibre moisture wicking material) that draws sweat away from you. Great value!!!

Where as i wasn't expecting the most comfortable thing in the world... being only £5.99 I was a little disapointed with the fit, it doesn't hurt, but it does restrict your movement slightly... This is because the actual 'cup' part is made of solid plastic which has no give (I am more used to soft plastic or strong material).

However, for the price and beginners, I would say get it.

You won't find many cups for this price. Once I put it on and commence training, I forget that the cup is on until I get kicked accidentally. However, the cup's width is a bit small but you just have to get your package in there well enough so no skin is pinched underneath it.
