Color Issue
Posted On: 16 May 2009
I was very happy with my purchase of these shorts. The fit and feel are great, but the Orange color in the photos looked much more vibrant than when they arrived. The picture shows a very bright almost neon orange, but when they arrived it was darker and less outstanding.

Still very hapy with the shorts, but wishing I got the black ones now.

I have a waist measurement 110cm. The size (cutting) 42 is it OK for me?
MMAUniverse.com's Reply:  Posted On: 16 June 2009
110cm is 43 inches. These do come up a fraction large in sizing so you should be ok with a size 42 - just. Re-measure and make sure you are not any bigger than 110cm. If you are DEFINITELY 110cm then go for the 42's.

Black and orange
Posted On: 21 December 2008
I have recieved my black and orange shorts and can say they are fantastic.Glad i read these reviews though as they are definitely oversized. Im a 36" waist and ordered a 34" waist and still have plenty of room in them.

Looks the dog danglies!

To recap what has already been said, order a size smaller, and wash not in the machine but hand wash.

Excellent range of movement with the cut & fit of the short.

Goes well with the fight top and t-shirt of the same style!

Go Overeem! He looked mint coming out for Dream 6 wearing these, but no hammer! !

got my shorts about 15min ago

first of all damn they are good lookin.
i got the orange one and it looks nice, and feels tough. havent trained in them yet but they are comfortable enough to do head kicks for sure.
everything is as good as u want em, so im only goin to write the "less satisfying" things i found so far.

immediately i noticed that others werent kidding when they said it runs a lil large. im a small person, weighin at 65kg with small waist (30.5 inch), but the even smallest one (30) was lil large for me. luckily the tightening string inside does wonders.

and this one im not sure cuz i havent trained in them yet, but the material was quite... "stiff" kinda feels rigid when i wore them. but hopefully i will break into them and soften it up once i get rollin in it. most likely because its brand spanking new, and it still has folded marks on it lol.

also it didnt instantly turn me into Alistair Overeem the moment i put them on... i kid i kid~

i would of easily given 5, but just the size was bit larger than expected hence deduct 0.5. otherwise damn they are sexy

Size Choice - Alistair Overeem Pro Max Grapple Shorts
Posted On: 21 February 2008
I noticed two buyers of the Alistair Overeem Pro Max Grapple Shorts commented that the shorts fit large and to get a size smaller. I wear a 33" waist in jeans but the orange option is only offered in 32" & 34". I don't want a 34" so I'm wondering if the 32" would fit in the 33" range? I don't want the shorts sliding off my while rolling. Any advice would be appreciated because I'd hate to order them and have to send them back.

The Orange shorts are fantastic!!
Posted On: 16 November 2007
I have the Black and the Orange shorts and I think they are great. But there is a big difference in quality/fit between the two. The Orange shorts are much better. They fit better, they look better, and they feel better. I don't know why, but they just do. Plus on the black shorts there is some bleeding of the orange color onto the white letters; doesn't look to good.

If I had it to do over again I would only get the orange shorts, they are great. And I haven't had any problem with them bleeding colors. I don't know why, but the orange ones are better! 5 stars for the orange, 3 for the black. That is where I get the 4 stars from.

Please note that the black versions of these shorts have now been updated and the black material is now of identical thickness and quality to the orange and white versions.
