2-DISC DVD SET!

REAL FIGHTS FOR REAL FIGHT FANS!

In the summer of 2005 two countries met to wage war inside the roughest ring in the world… THE MIXED MARTIAL ARTS ARENA. For the first time ever, an Olympic themed event pitted 5 TEAM USA members against 5 TEAM CANADA members in a brutal hand to hand war.

Team Captain Tito Ortiz proudly ventured to Canada’s capital with his troops as Gary Goodridge stood strong with his Canadian arsenal.  Fans have seen these icons in the ring and now we get to see them as coaches as they encourage their fighters to bring their careers to the next level in the
name of country pride.

Hosted by "The Fight Professor" Stephen Quadros and TSN’s Michael Landsberg (Off The Record), Freedom Fight 2005 gave fight fans action like never seen before. Roaming Reporters Erin Toughill and Joe Ferraro helped to cover the drama of a team event while breaking the sport of Mixed Martial Arts into the
mainstream.

The main event featured Winnipeg
native Joe Doerksen (30-6) as he battled Team Quest standout Art  Doerksen (10-2), a submission expert would take on an opponent who had never been submitted before in professional competition.

In the Light-Heavyweight Team action, Bill "The Butcher" Mahood (11-2-1) took on Tim "Wrecking Machine" McKenzie (9-1). B.C.'s Mahood has won all of his fights by KO including a brutal beating on Australia’s number one fighter Chris Haseman while Tim earned his nickname by ravaging his opponents in events throughout the USA
.

In the Heavyweight team bout, British Columbia's Todd Gouwenberg (3-1) took on American Lavar Johnson (5-1). Gouwenberg had won all his fights by knockout while Johnson had been tearing up the scene in Central California. Four gigantic fists would fly as the
only end in sight would be an incredible knock out!

The Welterweight Team Battle was one for the ages. After a layoff of nearly 18 months, Ontario native Jeff Joslin (4-1) would make his return to the MMA ring to take on American opponent Jon Fitch (8-2). Fitch is a ground and pound specialist with a never say die attitude, while Joslin boasts KO power in both fists and a submission arsenal to rival some of the
worlds best. This Welterweight team fight made waves from coast to coast.

American Matt "Suave" Horwich (11-4-1) is one of the most unique fighters out there. Coming from Randy Couture’s camp, Matt is often seen smiling as he savagely beats his opponent into submission. His opponent, Canadian Krzysztof Soszynski poses a serious threat to any MMA fighter. With the
strength of a body builder and wrestling skills that have crushed many a man it is no wonder why insiders are calling Soszynski THE EXPERIMENT.

ONE OF THE GREATEST UNDERCARDS EVER!!!!

The four-bout under card included Ronin MMA’s Craig "Farmer" Brown
taking on Montreal’s 6 foot 7 giant Ricardeau Francois. Former UCC champion and Canadian Richard "Monkey" Nancoo makes his return against Americas top flyweight Jeremy "Lightning" Bolt. Two rough and rugged Americans did battle as Richard "Cleat" Crunkilton left his home of sunny Florida to face off against the “Rasta King” James Martinez in a brutal exchange between striking specialists. “The Native Warrior” Tyrone Roberts has been fighting in extreme combat for nearly a decade while in Montréal Stephane Potvin has been pulverizing UFC vets for just as long…at Freedom Fight they go head to head and toe to toe.
