Shooto Appoint New Brazil President

Andre Pederneiras, Professor of the world famous Nova União team, has been elected to be President of Shooto Brazil by the International Shooto Commission.
Pederneiras will head up future Shooto events that are planned for Brazil for 2007 and beyond Pederneiras has a vision for the future of Shooto in Brazil. He envisions that the Shooto banner can not only be about MMA in Brazil but also BJJ, Muay Thai and Submisison Wrestling too. Pederneiras (who has fought the likes of Rumina Sato, Pat Miletich, Caol Uno and Genki Sudo) wants to put Brazil back at the centre of the MMA map and has disclosed plans to do a Japanese size event in Brazil. |
