The Grapevine: "A Quiet War Is Raging On The Streets Of Las Vegas"
Date submitted: 18 October 2006

We found this salacious piece of gossip on one of the forums. It is almost certainly not true... but we like it anyway.
Said in a hushed voice:
“Word on the street is that the UFC has been pulling in all sorts of favours around Las Vegas regarding making it difficult for PRIDE to come to the U.S.A... They have quietly issued demands to people in the industry, "If you help PRIDE, You are no longer our friend"...The latest road block is work visas for PRIDE employee's...
Apparently, some of the UFC's friends work in very high places, and have been effectively blocking the issue of visas for anyone related to PRIDE... And they are being very effective, word is they have already effected PRIDE's Real Deal Fight Card in a negative way with this tactic.
Also, word is, this type of quiet attack will continue, From the top, all the way down to Hotel & Car Rental reservations around Las Vegas for PRIDE employee's...
One person involved was quoted as saying "If Sakakibara doesn't have sugar for his coffee, it will be our fault..."
As if the UFC would deliberately try and sabotage Pride’s first foray in to the U.S.A, pull the other one!
Image: Thanks to the UFC, Fedor has found hailing a taxi-cab in Vegas almost impossible.
