WWCN is Up and Running! - MMAUniverse.com

Only a few weeks have passed since World Wide Cage Network, formed in September, became a full-fledged system. Adding Rumble World Entertainment from Honolulu Hawaii recently, WWCN has six cage fight promotions in their network now.

WCN was established to grow fighters, spreading and supporting the fighting business market by exchanging fighters of cage fight promotions in Europe, Australia, North America and Japan.

WWCN's first goal in the future is to become a structural organization to help great fighters from this network step up the scene of their activities into big promotions like UFC.

The second goal is to make more opportunities for all fight promotions in the network.

Now WWCN has six promotions from five countries in the world. These are the names of each promotions and their event.

On 19th November, D.O.G fighter Tomonari Kanomata and The Cage fighter Jarkko Latomäki fight in the eight-man Lightweight Tournament in Cage Warriors Showdown 2 by Warrior Promotion. The winner of this tournament will face the current Cage Warriors Lightweight World Champion Alexandre "Xandinho" Izidro in early 2007 at CW Showdown 3.

There are some other plans of exchanging fighters in the network behind the scenes. The announcement will be done in the right time shortly.
