Ebersole & Ritch Accused of Fixing Fight
Date submitted: 13 September 2006
Author: MMAFlash
While the Bay Area's recent Mixed Martial Arts Event "Malice at the Palace," proved to be a mild success, that satisfaction quickly wore thin after the California Athletic Commision accused two fighters on the Saturday, September 9 card of allegedly fixing a "worked" fight. Officially Brian Ebersole defeated Shannon Ritch via submission in the first round, but according to witnesses, most were hard-pressed in finding any real submission being applied. This and possibly more undisclosed information seemed to be enough to draw suspicion and the eventual accusation. The CSAC has suspended both fighters pending further investigation. Full Contact Promotions, the company behind the event has already denied the accusations.
