On January 14th, 2006 the battle for fighting supremacy continues as TEAM USA returns north to do battle with TEAM CANADA. APEX Entertainment Group and Freedom Fight Productions were very careful to select the perfect coaches to lead the troops to war and provide the energy needed for Canada's most viewed event. "We are proud to announce the team captains representing Team Canada and Team USA and we feel that entertainment level of the event has just reached new heights." Says organizers Pete Rodley and Alex Caporicci.


Representing Team Canada is one of Canada's top MMA competitors, who has traveled the world representing the great white north. Former UFC champion Carlos Newton, who has wins against MMA legends like Renzo Gracie and Pat Miletich has always been one of the sports most beloved athletes. Newton's respect for his competitors and martial arts has earned him millions of fans from North America to Asia.


Representing Team USA is none other than the "New York Badass" Phil Baroni. One of the sports most controversial figures, this multiple UFC and Pride veteran is someone who is definitely not shy to say what is on his mind. Baroni has seen all there is to see in MMA and is prepared to give his team the motivation they need to come out victorious is this historic event.


Despite having personalities that are polar opposites of each other, Newton and Baroni do have in common a tremendous determination to win. It is this determination that will be contagious to both teams as they strive to survive on January 14th. Both team captains are proud of the country they represent and will not be happy unless their team comes out with the medals around their neck.
