Wolfslair Hit Back
Date submitted: 09 August 2006
Author: MMA Universe
Outraged by Antonio Silva's comments in the recent MMA Universe interview (Antonio Silva: “I want to tell you my side of the story”), co-owner of Wolfslair Gym Anthony McGann accepted his right to reply and gave us this exclusive statement:

“The Wolfslair will not be brought into a slanging match over Junior.

The guy lived in a twentieth floor luxury apartment overlooking the river Mersey. He had a car and his child in private school. He received a weekly retainer, plus all expenses. He also had a regular private physio and all of his supplements paid for by Wolfslair.
He owed money to people in the academy and promised to pay them back from his fight purse. When he decided not to pay them we stepped in and paid them from his purse, as is only right.

At a time when he trained when he felt like, and took liberties with smaller members of the team regardless of his size. All these problems became too much and he was asked to leave the team.

The team had enough of him and his prima donna ways. His claim of two £3000 purses from Cagewarriors can easily be proved as lies with Cagewarriors’ Management, it never happened!

When he left he also stole expensive camera equipment and is currently wanted in this matter by the police. Junior had a lot of very hard work put into him by Sukata and Tony Quigley, the money spent on him was ridiculous. The whole team sweated and bled to make him what he was. When he first came to Wolfslair he could not even throw a jab!

In the end though, even with his $30,000 a fight contract, the team came first and always will. He went from us to BTT then back to us, he then went to Minotauro’s team and now he is with ATT. I predict another move quite soon as that guy will drive any team crazy.

That’s the whole story and I won’t repeat it again.

I send this exclusively to MMAUNIVERSE.”
