WFA: Last Minute Shake-Up

World Fighting Alliance’s CEO Jeremy Lappen was happily sitting back feeling calm and confident about his event this weekend, and then was hit by a one-two that turned his world upside-down.
Kimo Leopoldo allegedly tested positive for “Juice” (more specifically Winstrol) at the California State Athletic Comission medical and has been prevented from taking part in the show, where he was scheduled to fight Bas Rutten. The “fighter first” focused Lappen did put forward a very salient point: "The positive test is a reminder that the WFA and Mixed Martial Arts is a professional sport, governed by the same rules as other major sports leagues. Wes Sims was brought in as a last minute replacement for Kimo, but word has it that he is out too. Also at the eleventh hour, Jose "Pele" Landi Jons pulled out of his fight with Edwin Aguilar. But it is not all bad news, as Cage Warriors Middleweight Champion Martin Kampmann has stepped up to fight Aguilar… and, if you believe the rumours, none other than Kevin "The Monster" Randleman could be drafted in to fight the mighty Bas Rutten.
