The Grapevine: Ninja, The Beast, The Wizard, Kiane, Pe De Penao and Tank.

The Grapevine is alive with Cage Rage 18: Battleground rumours.
It was leaked this morning that Chute Boxe fighter and Pride veteran Murilo "Ninja" Rua could be signed to fight Cage Rage British Middleweight Champion, Mark "The Wizard" Weir at Cage Rage 18, which is scheduled to take place at Wembley Arena on September 30th. If that wasn’t enough, the word from Brazil is that after taking part in the Jiu Jitsu World Cup where he hopes to walk away with the R$15,000 prize money, Gracie Barra Black Belt Marcio "Pe De Penao" Cruz will make his way to England to fight UFC Hall of Famer, Dan "The Beast" Severn. Finally, we also hear that Amokrane "Kiane" Sabet was so disappointed that he had to drop out of his Cage Rage 17:Ultimate Challenge fight with the legendary David "Tank" Abbott, that he is pushing to make the fight happen at Cage Rage 18. These fights are still TBC and there are still more to be announced, so stay tuned to MMA Universe for more details. |
