The StrikeForce 2 Weigh-Ins

The weigh-ins for this weekend’s StrikeForce 2: Revenge event were held last night.

With the exception of James Irvin all the competitors came in at, or under, the specified California State Athletic Commission weight limit for their bouts. Irvin came in 4.5 lbs over the limit for his Light-Heavyweight clash with Bobby Soutrhworth. Southworth agreed to fight despite the weight difference, and Irvin was fined and forced to relinquish a percentage of his fight purse to his opponent.

In the main event of the evening, former UFC Champion Vitor Belfort and MMA Universe Sponsored fighter Alistair Overeem both came in below the agreed weight limit for the head-line bout.
