A heavyweight matchup between Joey Beltran and undefeated newcomer Chad Corvin has been added to UFC 113: Machida vs Shogun 2, which takes place on May 8 in Montreal, the UFC today announced.

Beltran knocked out UFC veteran Houston Alexander in January, then made his UFC debut on short notice against fellow newcomer Rolles Gracie last month at UFC 109: Relentless, with "The Mexecutioner" handing the member of the legendary Gracie family his first loss with a second-round TKO.

Corvin has won all six of his professional bouts in the opening round, including 28- and 19-second knockouts in 2008, before scoring another first-round TKO of Scott Barrett last February in his most-recent fight.

UFC 113: Machida vs Shogun 2 is headlined by a rematch between light heavyweight champion Lyoto Machida and challenger Mauricio "Shogun" Rua and also features Josh Koscheck vs Paul Daley and Kevin "Kimbo Slice" Ferguson vs Matt Mitrione, while Beltran-Corvin will be included on the pay-per-view event's unaired preliminary card.
