World Freestyle Challenge: Brazil vs Europe

A major challenge is set up to rock Eastern Europe in next May. The World Freestyle Challenge debuts on May 20 with a great challenge in the card.


According to event's promoter Paulo Caruso a known physical trainer who worked with some of the best Vale-Tudo teams in Brazil the event will be held at Bonfika gymnasium, located in Koper city, in Slovenia. "The gymnasium will be packed of people and it has a great structure to a challenge like that," expects Caruso.



In the card, some of the Brazilian revelations of 2005 promise to show in the Slovenian ring what Brazil have the best. Chuteboxers Evangelista “Cyborg” Santos and Nino Schembri are confirmed at the show. After rocking BTT's Roberto Godoi at last Showfight 4, Cyborg will fight Polish Tomasz Drwal and Pride veteran Schembri fights other Polish: Grezgorz Jakubowski.


From Pride former Heavyweight champion Rodrigo Minotauro's team BJJ black belt Rafael Feijao will fight Serbian Miodrag Petkovic meanwhile Edson Drago gets on Lithuanian Valdas Pocevicius. Draggo comes from an excellent victory at last April 22, when gave no chances to Tengiz Tedoradze KOing him with a crossed punch in only five seconds of bout at Cage Rage, in England.


From Vitor Belfort's team, Carlos Baruch, who defeatedJulinho Cabral by referee's decision at last Minotauro Fight ? held on last April 11 ? will face Croatian Damir Mirenic and BJJ black belt from Minas Gerais Igor Araujo will make his international debut at the event. The fighter from Gracie/Caveirinha waits to an opponent to be defined as French Moise Rimbon, who completes the challenge and waits for the organization present a Brazilian name.
