A light-heavyweight bout between Muhammed "King Mo" Lawal and Kevin Randleman is in the works for World Victory Road: Sengoku 11 on Nov. 7 at the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan.

According to the report, Lawal's management team has received the contract and is currently reviewing it. Randleman's management also confirmed the match up.

Randleman is currently under contract with Strikeforce and it is not yet known if the promotion has to give him permission to take the bout.

Randleman is currently suffering through the most difficult stretch of his career. The former UFC heavyweight champion is 3-8 in his past 11 fights and most recently lost against Mike Whitehead at Strikeforce: Lawler vs Shields in June. He's also dropped big fights against Quinton Jackson, Fedor Emelianenko, Mirko Filipovic and Mauricio Rua over that span.

Fighting for Pride and the UFC over his 13-year career, Randleman has put together notable wins over Maurice Smith, Pedro Rizzo, Renato Sobral, Murilo Rua and Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipovic.

Lawal most recently defeated Mark Kerr just 25 seconds into their heavyweight bout at M-1: Breakthrough late last month. The win was his first fight since suffering a torn ACL in his only decision win over Ryo Kawamura at World Victory Road: Sengoku 7 in March. Lawal is off to a 5-0 start in his young MMA career, with 4 of his wins coming via stoppage. His three previous wins came over Yukiya Naito, Fabio Silva and Travis Wiuff.
