Paul Taylor vs Jon Hathaway Likely for UFC 105

British welterweights Paul "Relentless" Taylor and Jon Hathaway have reportedly verbally agreed to face each other at UFC 105 on Nov. 14.

The bout could end up being a barn-burner as both men have been known to push the pace. A clash of styles between Taylor and Hathaway will make for an interesting bout as Taylor's specialty is kickboxing and Hathaway brings a strong wrestling game with an effective clinch.

Taylor is coming off of a win against Peter Sobotta at UFC 99: The Comeback in June and is 2-1 in his last three bouts. His only loss during the stretch came in his previous bout against Chris Lytle at UFC 89: Bisping vs Leben. Taylor sports an even 3-3 record during his time with the UFC, with key wins over Edilberto de Olivera, Jess Liaudin; while coming up short against Marcus Davis and Paul "Tellies" Kelly. The Cage Rage veteran has finished seven of his 10 career wins, and he holds a notable win outside the UFC over DREAM veteran Zelg Galesic.

Hathaway has won his first two bouts in the UFC against Thomas Egan at UFC 93: Franklin vs Henderson and most recently against Ricky Story at June's UFC 99: The Comeback. He has put together an impressive, undefeated 11-0 MMA record so far in his young three-year career, with eight of those wins being by stoppage,and garnering a notable win over Jack Mason. Prior to entering the UFC, Hathaway fought mostly for the now-defunct Cage Rage promotion.

UFC 105 will take place at the Manchester Evening News Arena in Manchester, England. The event will be the promotion's first show at the MEN arena since UFC 70: Nations Collide in April 2007.

A main event still has to be determined for UFC 105, however, the event is expected to feature Michael Bisping competing in the co-main event bout opposite Denis Kang. TUF 9 winners James Wilks and Ross Pearson will also be competing at the event.
