Gilbert Yvel Likely to Face Paul Buentello at Affliction: Trilogy

Gilbert Yvel had an impressive weekend, knocking out Pedro Rizzo in the first round at Fight Force International: Ultimate Chaos in Biloxi, MS. Shortly after the knockout, Yvel told fans and the in-ring announcer that he is going to fight Paul Buentello at Affliction: Trilogy in place of Tim Sylvia.
Sylvia was supposed to fight Buentello but was taken off the card after suffering an embarrassing loss to former professional boxer, Ray Mercer. Sylvia vs Mercer was originally a boxing match but had to be switched an MMA bout due to issues with the Alabama athletic commission.
Mercer was a bit disgruntled at the prospects of having to make his MMA debut against a former UFC champion on such short notice, but took just nine seconds to knock a clearly overweight Tim Sylvia.
Yvel currently owns a 36-13-1 professional record and would likely be a great test for Buentello who is coming off a dominating win over Fedor's protege Kirill Sidelnikov. Both heavyweights are very dangerous and extremely experienced bringing in a combined 87 fights between the two.
