Andrei Arlovski and Rafael "Feijao" Cavalcante, who both suffered knockout losses at this past Saturday's StrikeForce: Lawler vs Shields event, will both serve 60-day medical suspensions.
MMA Junkie today confirmed the event's full list of suspensions with the Missouri Office of Athletics, the state's regulatory body for combat sports.
The June 6 event took place at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis and aired on Showtime.
Arlovski suffered a swift, 22-second knockout loss to Brett Rogers in a featured main-card bout. His 60-day suspension has forced the cancellation of a scheduled June 27 professional boxing debut at a Golden Boy Productions show.
Like Arlovski, Cavalcante was also issued a 60-day suspension for precautionary reasons following a knockout loss. The highly touted fighter, a top contender originally scheduled to fight Strikeforce light-heavyweight champion Renato "Babalu" Sobral on the card, suffered a second-round TKO loss to Mike Kyle in a featured preliminary-card bout.
The only additional fighters from the card who will serve medical suspensions are Lucas Lopes, who picked up a victory via disqualification when Scott Ventimiglia struck him with an illegal knee to the face, and James Wade, who suffered a TKO loss to Booker De Rousse.
Both Lopes and Wade competed on the night's un-aired preliminary card.
