UFC's Goran Reljic Recovering from Back Surgery

UFC light-heavyweight and middleweight Goran Reljic has recently begun light training after undergoing surgery in February for an injury that forced him out of UFC 90: Silva vs Cote.
Reljic, who won his UFC debut at UFC 84: Ill Will via TKO over Wilson Gouveia, was scheduled to drop down to middleweight to fight Thales Leites at UFC 90: Silva vs Cote last October.
Reljic's manager Zoran Saric told MMAFighting.com on Monday that the Croatian fighter has been out of action trying different rehabilitation solutions to solve his back problem. Three months ago, Reljic agreed to undergo lower back surgery.
Once he completes light training for a month, Reljic will visit a neurologist for another evaluation before he's allowed to train 100% again.
"I have to be very specific on his programs for rehabilitation and training because he likes to train and spar like he fights," Saric said to MMAFighting.com. "And human body is just not made to take pressure like that especially on back and joints where fighters get hurt the most.
"On the top of that he is such a talent that will be shame don’t see him fighting again, so Goran is coming back soon stronger and better than ever."
Reljic made his UFC debut at 24 and currently holds an flawless record of 8-0, seven of which ended in either (T)KO or submission.
"UFC is waiting very patiently for his come back and I can’t tell [you] how much Goran is waiting to step in octagon again," Saric said.
