Roy Jones Jr to Headline Hybrid Boxing / MMA Card

Boxing legend Roy Jones Jr will top the bill of a hybrid boxing and MMA show on March 21st. Jones will fight Omar Sheika in the main event of March Badness at the Pensacola Civic Center in Pensacola, Florida.
The MMA section of the card is also littered with star names. Pro wrestler turned fighter Bobby Lashley is hoping make a Brock Lesnar style impact on the world of MMA. His opponent is yet to be confirmed.
Seth Petruzelli, the man who destroyed the myth of “Kimbo Slice” Kevin Ferguson and then lifted the lid on the “stand-gate” scandal will face former WEC light heavyweight champion Doug "Rhino" Marshall.
The third and final MMA bout features two more larger than life characters. Former IFL heavyweight champion Roy Nelson is as famous for his ample gut as his fighting skills. He will be up against the battling anarcho syndicalist Jeff "The Snowman" Monson.
This will Roy Jones Jr’s first fight since he was comprehensively out pointed by Joe Calzaghe. |
