Bobby Lashley: I Want Brock Lesnar

Bobby Lashley made an impressive start to his MMA career at the weekend. The former pro wrestling star took just 41 seconds to defeat Joshua Franklin at the Mixed Fight Alliance: There Will Be Blood event, held at the American Airlines Arena in Miami.

Lashley immediately set his sights on a fight with another former wrestler, UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar. He told the Miami Herald he is confident the fight will happen.

'I am a wrestler, and Brock is a wrestler. If [Lesnar] wants to match skills, we match skills. There is going to be a meeting between me and Brock. There will be.''

Lashley said that there are similarities between MMA and pro wrestling.

''I like the locker room in WWE. You know, you have a bunch of professionals with a mindset of putting the best performance possible. This is the same thing.''

Brock Lesnar defeated Randy Couture to become UFC heavyweight champion after just three fights with the organisation.
