GSP Promoted to Black Belt

Georges St Pierre has been awarded his black belt in Brazilian jiu jitsu.
Graciemag.com report that St Pierre was unaware the anything unusual was about to happen when he turned up for training at the Tristar martial arts academy, in Montreal, Canada on Saturday. He was promoted by Bruno Fernandes, a holder of several Jiu-Jitsu titles.
The UFC welterweight champion said that receiving his Brazilain Jiu Jitsu black belt was one the the three happiest moments of his life:
“This was the high point in my career. When I received my black belt in karate, when I conquered the UFC belt, and today.”
Georges "Rush" St Pierre is one of the most popular athletes in the world of mixed martial arts. Many fans believe he is the most well rounded fighter competing today. The Canadian features in most people’s pound for pound top three - along with Anderson Silva and Fedor Emelianenko. |
