Paul Taylor Prepares for UFC Date in an Oxygen Tent

Paul Taylor is using unconventional methods as he prepares for his fight with Chris Lytle. Taylor will fight the American at UFC 89: Bisping vs Leben on October 18th at the National Indoor Arena in Birmingham. Taylor has been sleeping in an oxygen tent.

He described the experience to the Daily Star:

“It is like a bubble over the bed. It takes air in, cuts down oxygen and forces the body to carry more red cells and improve endurance. It gives me three per cent extra, but that is invaluable. It can knock 40 minutes off your time in a triathlon so it can be the difference between winning and losing in the Octagon”.

Taylor has been in a string of exciting fights in the UFC. He told the Daily Star that he expects his fight with the experienced Lytle to be tough:

“I can see a three-round war where we are both going to keep coming forward. Lytle is an explosive fighter and has only been stopped twice so he will take more than a bit of shifting”.
