More Female Stars Join EliteXC

EliteXC have further boosted their position as the leading place to see female MMA.
Further bolstering the sport’s strongest collection of female MMA competitors, the promotion has announced the signings of and Canadian star Sarah Kaufman and top Dutch fighter Marloes Coenen.
Kaufman, the former Hardcore Championship Fighting title-holder, brings an unblemished record to the division, with all of her victories coming by TKO.
Coenen has been nothing short of dominant since starting her professional career in 2000. Despite the majority of her victories coming via submission, Coenen is highly proficient both standing and on the ground.
Both fighters will be competing in EliteXC’s 140lb women's division — the home of standouts Gina Carano and Cristiane Santos.
Although much of the hype around EliteXC has been concentrated on “Kimbo Slice” Kevin Ferguson - the female fighters have stolen much of the glory. Gina Carano is probably the promotion’s highest profile star, thanks to her stint on American Gladiators.
Cristiane "Cyborg" Santos put on a masterful display of striking at Elite Xtreme Combat: Unfinished Business to take apart the highly touted Shayna Baszler. The latest signings will pave the way for more, top class female action. |
