Nick Diaz Still Unpaid for DREAM 3 Fight

The much talked about DREAM welterweight title bout between Nick Diaz and Hayato "Mach" Sakurai could be called off as a result of a non-payment.

Diaz, who defeated a Katsuya Inoue at Dream 3: Lightweight Grand Prix 2008 Second Round in May, has not been paid for the fight.

"Nick's contract stated that [DREAM] had up to 30 days to remit payment," Cesar Gracie told MMAFighting.com. "They have not contacted us since the fight."

According to GracieFighter.com, Diaz, an EliteXC - signed fighter, would be allowed to fight Sakurai if a rematch with Karl James Noons doesn't work out for the Oct. 4 EliteXC-CBS event in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. That is, if Diaz is compensated for the Dream 3: Lightweight Grand Prix 2008 Second Round fight.
