Following in the footsteps of Affliction: Banned, Affliction are banking on the Heavyweight’s again.

Affliction: Day of Reckoning will be headlined with by a fight featuring Andrei Arlovski and Josh Barnett.

The show will take place at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas, Nevada on October 11th. Arlovski boosted his reputation with an impressive performance at the previous Affliction event. The former UFC champ outboxed the highly rated former IFL star Ben Rothwell.

Barnett also looked good, defeating his old rival Pedro Rizzo in Anaheim.

The poster for Affliction: Day of Reckoning states that this will be another pay per view event. The fledgling promotion’s first show, Affliction: Banned, was headlined by Fedor Emelianenko's thirty six second demolition of Tim Sylvia. As yet, no other bouts have been announced.

By moving into Las Vegas, this could be seen as a challenge to the UFC on its home turf.
