Peter Angerer Announces UK Title Shot

Peter Angerer has announced that he is coming to England to fight for a title.
On the new website, www.germanvaletudo.de, it was reported that the German Top Team fighter had confirmed he will fight the Strike and Submit Welterweight champion Peter Irving at Strike and Submit 8.
Angerer is one of the best known names on the German fight scene, and his signing is another boost for the growing reputation of Strike and Submit. Strike and Submit 8 already promises to be their biggest show to date.
Martin Thompson is due to take on UFC veteran Colin Robinson in one of the domestic Heavyweight fights of the year. Adding Irving versus Angerer to the bill will make tickets even more sought after than usual.
Strike and Submit has been one of the success stories of UK MMA. One of the aims of the promotion has been to showcase high profile Europeans. Promoter Michael Surtees has lured big names such as Diego Gonzalez and UFC star Per Eklund to Gateshead in the past. |
