Gary Turner Still Smiling at 84kg!

Gary "Smiler" Turner has official dropped TWO entire weight categories from 105kg (Heavyweight) to 84kg (Middleweight) in just four months! Here's what he said on the Cagewarriors forum:
"Yep, its true!
I did a 'test' weigh in today, on calibrated scales, and topped out at 84kg! By applying the 'science' of fat loss, I easily dropped to light heavyweight... and a couple of comments by my coaches and people like Marc Goddard, and it was a case of seeing whether I could reach 84... and it was 'easy'!
Well, last 2kg fluid, and I'm drinking my little electrolyte special to rehydrate before a fitness test tomorrow, but I know already that will go OK.
I will now return to 'walk around' at 89-91kg, with the full knowledge of how I did it and what to adjust slightly next time to make it even easier, and will be able to drop to 84 from that in 1week at a push, 2 weeks comfortably and 3 week's totally at ease.
Did I say I'm writing a book on the subject too? Lol, gotta plug... out in January...

Gary has had great success in the Heavyweight division of Cage Rage with wins over the likes of David "Tank" Abbott, Julius Francis, Edson Drago and Joe Akano. Now's he's officially a Middleweight, and so should theoretically be even more dangerous than ever before! His horizons have been opened to the very talented pool of Middleweight Cage Rage fighters, and the weight drop even puts him in line as a possible contender for Matt Ewin's British Title. It looks like 2008 could well be the year of The Smiler! |
