Dana White: I've Found the New Anderson Silva

The Ultimate Fighter Season 8 completed filming last week and will air in September. UFC President has already started to hype the show.
He told Yahoo Sport’s Kevin Iole that the new season features a Lightweight who he describes as: “the next Anderson Silva”.
White went on:
“I was going off when I saw this guy. He’s 24 and he’s destroying people. It’s sick how bad ass he is. I’m getting goose bumps talking to you about him.”
The real Anderson Silva will headline UFC: Ultimate Fight Night 14 in Las Vegas on 19 July 2008. That event will also see the return of disgraced TUF 7 star Jesse Taylor. Taylor was kicked off the show after drunken behaviour. He will be up against eventual season runner up CB Dollaway.
White is adamant that bringing Taylor back is the right thing to do.
“Without a doubt, the kid deserves another chance. He made himself look like a fool, and he’s aware of that, but everyone deserves another opportunity and we’re going to give it to him. He acted like a moron. He’s embarrassed by it, which he should be, but what he did doesn’t amount to enough to ban him forever. Come on. He was just young and stupid, but at least he seems to have learned from what he did.” |
