Cummo vs McCrory Official for UFC 87

A welterweight encounter between Luke Cummo vs Tamdan McCrory has officially been added to UFC 87: Seek and Destroy on August 9, according to UFC.com.
Cummo gained great notoriety for his appearance during the second season of “The Ultimate Fighter,” where he fought and lost to Joe Stevenson in the finals of the welterweight tournament.
Cummo, who is 3-3 in the UFC, last fought in March at UFC 82: Pride of a Champion, where he lost to retired Marine Luigi Fioravanti via unanimous decision.
McCrory is one of the youngest fighters in the UFC but is already a veteran of nine career fights. He’s won eight bouts compared to just one loss, which he suffered in his last bout for the UFC against Akihiro Gono last November at UFC 78: Validation.
Soon after sustaining the first defeat of his career, McCrory informed UFC V.P. of Talent Relations Joe Silva that he was looking to take a brief hiatus from the sport in order to focus more on education.
UFC 87: Seek and Destroy will take place at the Target Center in Minneapolis, Minn. and will feature Georges St Pierre defending the UFC welterweight title against Jon Fitch. Bouts between Brock Lesnar and Heath Herring as well as Kenny Florian vs Roger Huerta are planned as well.
