UK MMA Fighter Commits Suicide

The following statement has sadly been issued today on the Cage Warriors forum by the Promoter of Ultimate Force. Our deepest sympathies go out to Cliff's family and friends:

"It's with great regret that I have to announce the death of one of our team members, Cliff Moore.

Cliff unfortunately took his own life last week.

All the team are shocked and upset by this as Cliff was a very popular member of our squad.

Nobody really knows the reason why he chose to end his life, only Cliff knew that, and Cliff obviously thought that was the only solution at the time, but like most fighters Cliff was an emotional rock. Nobody could have guessed that he had a lot on his mind, he would never have asked for help, he was too proud a man for that. I just wish he realised how many friends he had.

Our thoughts are with his family especially his 2 children.

Cliff will be laid to rest next Friday (27th) in Doncaster.
