UFC 85 Bonuses Revealed

Thiago Alves, Kevin Burns, Matt Wiman, and Thiago Tavares were each awarded $50,000 bonues for their efforts Saturday night at UFC 85: Bedlam at the O2 Arena in London, England.

“Knockout of the Night” went to Thiago Alves for his early second round knee and ground and pound stoppage of former UFC welterweight champion and future hall of famer Matt Hughes.

UFC newcomer Kevin Burns was awarded “Submission of the Night” for his upset triangle choke win over jiu jitsu black belt Roan Carneiro.

“Fight of the Night” awards were given to Matt Wiman and Thiago Tavares for their back-and-forth preliminary bout which Wiman won via knockout midway through the second round.
