Next Dream Middleweight Match-Ups

Japanese promotion, DREAM have confirmed four middleweight bouts for the next event Dream 4: Middleweight Grand Prix 2008 Second Round to be held at The Saitama Super Arena on June 15 as quarterfinal bouts for the middleweight Grand Prix.

The colourful Jason "Mayhem" Miller faces off against another ground fighter in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu world champion Ronaldo "Jacare" Souza. Jacare has amazing ground skills and even Millers’ unorthodox style will struggle against Jacares’ honed submission expertise, Mayhem may look to keep this one standing. Mayhem is however, more experienced than Jacare in MMA. Either way a highly anticipated match up that will be closely watched.

Japanese fan favourite and Pride veteran Kazushi Sakuraba will be fighting against explosive striker Melvin Manhoef. Sakuraba was originally intended to fight Kiyoshi Tamura who gained entry to the next round after defeating Pancrase legend Masakatsu Funaki by TKO – 57 seconds into the first round at Dream 2: Middleweight Grand Prix 2008 First Round. Tamura suffered a broken finger in the fight and is therefore being replaced by Manhoef who scored a first round TKO over Kim Dae Won at Dream 3: Lightweight Grand Prix 2008 Second Round.

Croation striker Zelg Galesic gets a re-match with Taiei Kin who is a K-1 veteran after their clash at Heroe's Korea 2007 where the bout was controversially stopped early in favour of Galesic who inflicted a cut on Kin. Galesic previously gained a submission victory over Magomed Sultanakhmedov and Kin got the nod from the judges after going the distance with Ikuhisa Minowa both at Dream 2.

Gegard Mousasi from Armenia who submitted well ranked Denis Kang in the previous round will face Korean Judo master Yoon Dong Sik who already holds submission victories over Melvin Manhoef and Zelg Galesic.

Additionally the final lightweight quarterfinal match up between grappling ace Shinya Aoki and Olympic wrestling silver medal winner Katsuhiko Nagata will take place at the event.
