Mark Coleman Out of UFC 87

Pride and UFC veteran Mark "The Hammer" Coleman has had to pull out of his scheduled bout with Brock Lesnar at UFC 87: Seek and Destroy in August. The 43 year old former UFC champion tore his MCL in training and will be out of action for six weeks, luckily his injury will not require surgery.
Confused when a fighter says “I tore my MCL/ACL in training…”?
The MCL or medial collateral ligament is one of four major ligaments located at the knee and can have unfortunate consequences for a fighter who tears it so it stands to reason that Coleman cannot compete.
Headlining the card now however is a much more intriguing bout between the recently crowned welterweight champion Georges St Pierre and Jon Fitch a talented fighter from The American Kickboxing Academy. With a fifteen fight win streak for Fitch, GSP is coming up against an experienced and talented fighter who could definitely give him worries.
After avenging his only two losses by schooling Matt Hughes and Matt Serra to become the welterweight champion yet again, GSP will be ready to do whatever it takes to keep that belt and prove he is every bit as good as the critics say.
