Governor of California and MMA enthusiast, Arnold Schwarzenegger, has been criticised for scheduling an appearance at the MMA show he had a hand in, Gracie Fighting Championships: Team Gracie vs Team Hammer House.

One blinkered American rag, that sounds like a broken record, said:

“What a photo op… to have Arnold with some bloody competitors who have just beaten each other up for entertainment,'’ crowed Democratic activist Gloria Nieto.”

‘That’s exactly the image we need for California.'’

This little bit of bad press is unlikely to keep Arnie away as the new Governor of California actively champions Mixed Martial Arts in America's Golden State.
