Ultimate Force Present Stacked Card

Some of the best known fighters in UK Mixed Martial Arts will be on show at the Doncaster Dome on Saturday. Ultimate Force: Punishment will feature established names Tengiz Tedoradze and Dan Hardy alongside rising stars such as Jason Ball,Leslee Ojugbana and Wayne Murray.

Tengiz is universally recognised as the number one heavyweight in the UK. The ace wrestler will defend his Ultimate Force title against Martin Thompson. “The Ox” has enjoyed a successful 2008 so far. At Strike and Submit 5 he dominated the fearsome looking Italian Matteo Minonzio then went on to defeat the highly rated Tom Blackledge at Cage Gladiators 6: Divide & Conquer. Tengiz will start as favourite, but will be taking no chances against the Cumbrian.

Just two weeks after his stunning victory over Chad Reiner at Cage Warriors: Enter the Rough House 6, Dan Hardy will be stepping back into the cage. He will face the German ground specialist Daniel Weichel. Weichel has been a top ten European Welterweight for a while, earning his ranking with a succession of slick submission wins. Recently, he has been on the wrong end of a couple of crushing defeats. Two of his last four fights have ended with KOs via knee strikes. At FX3: Fight Night 4, Hardy’s Rough House team mate Paul Daley took Weichel out in the first round and Jason Jones sent the German to the canvas in a matter of seconds at M-1: Slamm. Both were devastating finishes which must put a question mark next to Daniel Weichel. He returned to winning ways at Gorilla Fight 2 with a submission win over Ian Jones. Hardy demonstrated top class ground defence against Reiner and it is hard to see him losing.

Ross Pearson has come in at short notice to fight Aidan Marron for the Lightweight title. Pearson has been building a reputation - with none of his last four opponents lasting a round with him. He was particularly impressive when putting on a ground fighting master class to defeat Steve Tetley at Cage Warriors: Enter The Rough House 5. “Snakehips” Marron is coming off a defeat against Reza Madadi. The Irishman is no stranger to Yorkshire. Last June, he came out on top in one of the fights of the year, when he beat Ian Butlin in Huddersfield.

The Ultimate Force welterweight title is also up for grabs. Local favourite Jason Ball will be looking to build on his career best win over the German star Peter Angerer last time out. Standing in his way is the popular Wearsider Leslee "Hollywood" Ojugbana.

The Doncaster crowd will be keen to see the return of Wayne Murray. On his last two appearances at the Dome, he has stolen the show. At Ultimate Force 6: Battle of Waterloo, he choked out Djamel Moula then took the honours in an exciting fight with Clifford Hall at Ultimate Force 7: 2 Tuf 2 Tap. “Mayhem” Murray will face the dangerous Mark O'Toole. The charismatic Irishman has been a regular visitor to England - winning many friends with his performances at a number of Cage Warriors events.
