World Victory Road announced yesterday that Josh Barnett, "The Babyface Assassin", will be fighting on May 18 at World Victory Road: Sengoku 2. The event will take place at the Ariake Coliseum in Tokyo, Japan.

Barnett who is currently ranked as a top ten heavyweight, fought at the first Sengoku event back in March where he defeated Hidehiko Yoshida via heel hook late in the third round. Before his fight at Sengoku it had been over a year since he had competed back in December of 2006.

So far an opponent for the former UFC heavyweight champ has yet to be named although Naoya Ogawa and Marcio Cruz are strong possibilities.

Other big names will join Barnett on the Sengoku 2 card including Roger Gracie and the long awaited return of Kevin Randleman. Randleman hasn’t fought since losing to Mauricio Rua back in October of 2006 at Pride 32: The Real Deal.

Following Sengoku 2 will be World Victory Road: Sengoku 3 which takes on June 8 at the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama Japan. Scheduled to appear on that card is heavyweight Kazuyuki Fujita. Takanori Gomi and Nick Thompson are also possibilities but nothing is confirmed.
