Shinya Aoki vs Gesias Calvancanti Rematch at DREAM 2

The Official DREAM website just announced a much anticipated and well needed rematch between Shinya Aoki and Gesias Calvancanti.
The bout is scheduled for Olympia DREAM 2 on April 29 at the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan. The bout will take place during the middleweight tournament due to the fact that their last bout was ruled a no contest and ended in controversy.
At the DREAM.1 Lightweight Grand Prix Calvancante was getting the better of Aoki for a good part of the first round with crisp striking. With 3:46 left in the round Gesias Calvancanti came down with three elbows to the upper back of Aoki that were called illegal elbows to the back of the head. The fight was stopped and Aoki laid on the canvas in pain. In slow motion you could clearly see that the elbows were totally legal. Shinya played up the injury and could not continue leading to the controversial stoppage.
In my opinion Shinya knew he was losing the fight and took the easy out knowing he would probably get the rematch. This rematch will settle the score and the winner will move on to fight at round 2 of the DREAM 3 Lightweight Grand Prix on May 11.
Joining Aoki and Calvancante on the DREAM 2 card will be the legend, Kazushi Sakuraba taking on Andrews Nakahara. Other match ups announced for the DREAM 2 Middleweight Grand Prix include Kiyoshi Tamura taking on Masakatsu Funaki and Denis Kang battling Gegard Mousasi.
