Another MMA Fighter Joins the American Gladiators

Following in the footsteps of Gina Carano, another female fighter is to join the American Gladiators. Rightfielders.com report that Erin Toughill has been chosen to be a gladiator in the second season of the show.

Erin Toughill is an experienced Boxer and Mixed Martial Artist. Her most recent MMA fight was at Valor Fighting: Showdown at Cache Creek II in September 2006, when she stopped Jen Case in the second round.

American Gladiators was revived earlier in the year - at a time when Hollywood was crippled by the screenwriters’ strike. The all action game show was a smash hit and Gina Carano, as Crush, became one of the most popular gladiators. With her heightened profile - Carano is now, without doubt, the most famous female MMA fighter. The controversial Muay Thai specialist will feature on the card when Elite XC make their network TV debut. No doubt, Erin Toughill will hope that donning the Lycra gear will give her career a similar boost.
