Ninja vs Phil Baroni on EliteXC CBS Card

EliteXC have started to assemble the card for their network TV debut. They have signed Murilo "Ninja" Rua and Phil Baroni for their May 31st show, which will be aired on CBS. The match was confirmed on ProElite.com.

"Ninja" Rua will be hoping to fare better than he did in his last EliteXC fight. At Elite Xtreme Combat: Uprising, Rua lost his EliteXC middleweight title when he was blitzed by Robbie Lawler. Since then, he has got back to winning ways, submitting Xavier Foupa Pokam in the main event of Cage Rage 24: Feel the Pain in London last December.

Phil "The New York Bad Ass" Baroni will hope to get back to winning ways. At Icon Sport 50: To Hell and Back on March 15th, he lost out to Ross Hose. That was his first fight back following a six-month suspension handed down by the California State Athletic Commission for testing positive for a banned steroid.
