Strikeforce Inks TV Deal With HDNET

HDNet, the first television network to deliver programming in high definition format, will broadcast four Strikeforce mixed martial arts events in 2008, beginning with a live telecast of Bodog Fight Presents: Strikeforce: Strikeforce At The Dome from Tacoma, Washington’s Tacoma Dome on Saturday, February 23rd.

The live HDNet broadcast of Bodog Fight Presents: Strikeforce: Strikeforce At The Dome will begin at 10:30 PM ET (7:30 PM PT).

Bodog Fight Presents: Strikeforce: Strikeforce At The Dome will be headlined by the long-awaited return of former NFL lineman turned martial arts fighting sensation, Bob "The Beast" Sapp, who will take on another monstrous human specimen in 6’11” K-1 star and undefeated professional boxer, Jan "The Giant" Nortje.

Former UFC and K-1 North America Champion, Maurice "Mo" Smith, will battle another heavyweight legend in six-time world kickboxing champion and former World Boxing Council (WBC) Continental Americas Cruiserweight Champion, Rick Roufus. The matchup will mark Roufus’s debut under mixed martial arts rules.

Bodog Fight sensation Jorge "GameBred" Masvidal will collide with 2004 NCAA National Boxing Champion, “Diamond” Ryan Healy in a 160 lb catch weight limit fight while “Bad” Brad Blackburn will square off with Ray Perales in a 170 lb. limit bout.
