Colin Robinson Leaves UFR Fight Team

Colin Robinson has left the Ultimate Fighting Revolution Fight Team. He issued the following statement via the UFR Forum: Fightalk.co.uk
“Due to the outcome of recent events I have decided not to renew my contract with the UFR team.
This is in no way a reflection on the team or indeed team manager David Patterson for whom I have the utmost respect, but is purely a decision based on my determination to succeed within the UFC.
I feel that the time and dedication needed from trainers and management to help me achieve my goal would be unfair to expect from the UFR at this time and would be to the detriment of other team members.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank David who has been a good friend and has helped put me where I am in MMA. I would also like to wish David and the rest of my friends in the UFR every future success and will continue to support them as they strive to work for Irish MMA.”
Despite enjoying huge success domestically, Colin Robinson has struggled to make an impact in the UFC, losing to Eddie Sanchez and Antoni Hardonk. |
