Win or Lose, What Answer Will the Bully Get?

It's still getting better & better.
UFN 13 on April 2nd has had another top fight added to the card and coming out of the explosive lightweight division. TUF competitor & Xtreme Couture member Gray Maynard gets a high caliber opponent in his next venture in the octagon, Maynard's last victory came over top Judoka specialist Dennis Siver at UFC: Ultimate Fight Night 12 where he grinded out a decision victory and prior to that has an impressive stoppage over Joe Veres with a sweet left hook that ended the contest in only 9 seconds. Maynard will have to bring his A-game as his opponent is the New Jersey kid "The Answer" Frank Edgar who is now 7-0 in his MMA career and his last win came over tough Spencer Fisher where he was mopre than capable to deal with Fisher's threat in all departments. Edgar first burst onto the scenes when his snatched a split decision from another member of Xtreme Couture Tyson Griffin back at UFC 67: All or Nothing in his debut and has since been touted for high things. With UFC in negotiations with top lightweight Takanori Gomi recently it was said that Edgar was the first person to get a bite of the apple against Gomi who some say is the No .1 lightweight, but the deal since fell through and had Gomi sign with World Victory Road leaving Edgar now set to take on "The Bully" Gray Maynard in Colorado come April. |
