With fights filtering from sources for the UFC 83 card which looks to be scrapped completely, it leaves several bouts which looks sealed up in the air and especially the European fighters who have been signed and were scheduled to debut come March 8th, it now looks to be as late as a June for the UK PPV UFC 86.

But some bouts confirmed for the 83 event have been shifted to the best UFN 13 (Ultimate Figh Night) card since first hitting our scenes back in August 2005 with bouts such as Patrick Cote vs Chris Leben, Nate Quarry vs Pete Sell & Nate Marquardt.

Houston Alexander looked set to make it three in a row fighting in the UK, first being Alessio Sakara who he finished in the first round & second unable to give him his first loss Thiago Silva where the Nebraska fighter was stopped by the Brazillan and now back on US soil, Alexander will look to rip through the "The Sandman" James Irvin and reinstante himself back into the fray.

Irvin has been a regular in the octagon but not sent shivers through the division which has always been growing from strength to strength especially with additions of Dan Henderson, Wanderlei Silva, Mauricio Rua, Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou & Ryoto Machida whic makes it even harder to prove yourself without defeating a top name in the UFC or the MMA world.

Irvin's UFC record is 3-3 with losses to undefeated Thiago Silva, TUF 1 runner up Stephan Bonnar & Mike Kyle. Irvin has the perfect opportunity to kick the year off with a solid performance against the man regarded as having freakess strength.

A recent acquisition for France Samy Schiavo will look also to make a huge impression come UFN 13 in Colorado when he takes on an opponent who doesn't seem to be in a dull fight when ever he enters the octagon in Clay Guida.

Guida's year has boomed him into the lime light as whenever he is on the card people will be watching and entertained, eventhough his UFC record doesn't indicate that being at 2-3. Guida took peoples breath away at the Belfast PPV against Xtreme Couture member Tyson Griffin where the pace of the fight was relentless and was a Top 10 ranked fight for 2007 and some a lot of people feeling Guida did enough for the victory.

2007 ended how evetone wanted it to with the top fight of the year the Mexican posterboy Roger Huerta against Guida with Guida coming in as favourite because of his prior opponents fought and had both rounds in the bag on the judges score cards, but got caught by the determination of "El Matador" in a rear naked choke to end the year with a loss.

Schiavo, known for his showings in the UK based Cage Rage as MMA has still not be legalised in France and with MMA fighter Jess Liaudin spear heading a campaign trying to push the sport forward into a new element. Schiavo will meet The Carpenter" Guida bringing a win streak of 6, but seeing Guida's conditioning it could be a long night for the frenchman if he doesn't come in. in the best condition ever.

Other bout being thrown around is UFC Veteran Din Thomas taking on Josh Neer.

Neer is one of two fighters who hold victories over Josh Koscheck his being by submission and Din Thomas has looked very impressive after his appearence in TUF 5, but his last fight ended when the main eventer for this event Kenny Florian was able to finish Thomas via Rear Naked Choke in which he took time out for surgery on his knee injury.
