Sam Stout eased to victory on Saturday when he grabbed an unanimous decision over the top new European fighter Per Eklund.

Stout dominated the contest and Eklund showed signs of gasing and several attempts of a takedown which were scuppered by the Canadian and didn't seem to impress the 8,000 in attendance on the Swede's debut.

With this win Stout has been given the opportunity to fight on the 1st UFC PPV in Canada in April, with the welterweight championship topping the bill with heated words being thrown around with two guys he who have respect for each seemingly getting at each other that being Georges St Pierre & Matt Serra.

Stout is mostly known in the UFC for his battles with Spencer Fisher with both having a victory over on another, but with the victory of Eklund at the weekend puts him at 2-2 in the UFC eventhough his last bout was a win in the Canadaian promotion TKO via TKO against Martin Grandmont.

The opponent for Stout is Rich Clementi  known as "No Love" who his a veteran in the business and has also come off a win recently over Melvin Guillard in which there is huge bad blood between and will always be claims, both fighters. Clementi has been chopping and changing from Welterweight & Lightweight divisions and has since produced two victories and will look for three against the Canadian Stout and a possible contender match if victorious to mount a serious challenge for the title.

Another Canadian for the April PPV is Jonathan Goulet who is also fighter has shown lots of potential but not put the win streak together to push up the division, he has been given the Japanese fighter Kuniyoshi Hironaka to gain a victory after he choked out Paul Georgioff who has been released from his contract among five other from the latest installment of the TUF.

Fighters released are the following John Kolosci, Dan Barrera, Blake Bowman, Dorian Price, Richie Hightower and of course Georgioff.

Kuniyoshi Hironaka has a 1-2 record in the UFC, both losses coming from hot contenders Jon Fitch & Thiago Alves, although the defeats Hironaka does hold a victory over top fighter Nick Diaz in the early stage of his career and has a win in the UFC coming via unanimous decision against Forrest Petz.
