Bouncing back off a TKO loss in August to Randy Couture, Gabriel Gonzaga will get a shot against the only other fighter to defeat him when he fights fellow jiu-jitsu champion Fabricio Werdum at UFC 80: Rapid Fire.

Werdum beat Gonzaga by TKO in September 2003 in Jungle Fight, a Brazilian MMA show. Since then, he has beaten Russian power puncher Roman Zentsov, Dutch fighter Alistair Overeem and Aleksander Emelianenko but lost a decision to Andrei Arlovski in April.

Before his loss to Couture, Gonzaga was unbeaten in six fights and riding a wave of hype after a spectacular knockout win over Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipovic.

The main event of UFC 80 is a lightweight match between BJ Penn and Joe Stevenson] for the 155-pound title.
