Andre Dida Leaves Chute Boxe Academy

Yet another great fighter has announced his departure from Chute Boxe. The latest fighter to leave the famed Brazilian mixed martial arts academy is Andre Dida Amade. Dida is perhaps best known for being once labeled as Wanderlei Silva's protégé because he fights with the same intensity and aggression as his idol, the Axe Murderer. Dida has informed Tatame that he left Chute Boxe to move to Canada. Dida explains that he and his brother will be offering lessons at an academy in Toronto, Ontario. The Amade brothers also have aspirations of opening their own school in the Toronto area sometime in the near future. So if you live in the GTA, yes, you too can train with Andre Dida.
Andre Dida Amade is currently signed with HERO’S. He was last seen fighting in September 2007 where he competed in the K-1 HERO’S Tournament Finals. Best known for his intense and agressive style, Dida dominated MMA veteran Caol Uno for three rounds, handing Uno a broken jaw in the process. In the finals, Dida was stopped by Gesias "JZ" Calvancanti in the first round via armbar. Nonetheless, the Chute Boxe camp was satisfied with his performance, claiming that a message has been sent to the MMA world, ‘Dida is the real deal'.
