Ultimate Force Announce Huge End of Year Show

Top North of England promotion Ultimate Force will close a successful year with a show headlined by the biggest British Heavyweight fight of the year. UK number one Tengiz Tedoradze will take on James "The Colossus" Thompson in the main event of Ultimate Force 8: Festive Fury at the Doncaster Dome on December 16th.

Ultimate Force promoter Paul Murphy describes how the match came about on ultimateforcefighting.com:

“We put out an advert to find an opponent and this man answered. Pride veteran James "The Colossus" Thompson wants the fight. He's wanted a rematch with Tengiz for a long time and now that time has arrived. I've spoken to James and he's well fired up for this. Both fighters are far more skilled and experienced than the first time they fought which resulted in a win for Tengiz. James has had a few up and downs of late so went over to the States to train and up his game. I personally don't think James needs any more motivation for this fight than revenge. This will be an all out WAR.”

Tengiz is generally regarded as the best big man in Britain. Many feel that the Cage Rage champion has not received the credit he deserves and lesser fighters have been given greater exposure. Despite a perceived lack of star quality - Tengiz has used his substantial talents to build an impressive record which makes him impossible to ignore. A victory over Thompson will further increase his international profile.

James Thompson has the opposite problem, with critics claiming he has been hyped to his current level. “The Colossus” has built his name on impressive performances overseas. His reputation at home has suffered due to some poor results at Cage Rage. Most recently - he was caught cold by Neil Grove and unceremoniously knocked out in their fight at Cage Rage 22: Hard as Hell. Thompson made the decision to leave the country to improve his game and has recently been training at Xtreme Couture in the United States. The fact that Thompson answered an open call to take on the top ranked man in the nation shows that he has a true fighter’s heart. His burning desire to earn respect in his home country means the fight should be an explosive affair.

Ultimate Force 8: Festive Fury will mark the end of a successful year for the growing Yorkshire promotion. The show is a luxury, tables only affair; with audience members enjoying a champagne Reception, Christmas dinner, waitress Service and pre fight cabaret.

As well as the Heavyweight battle - the rest of the card features some mouth watering bouts. Ultimate Force favourite Jason Ball will meet Dave Metcalf. Many consider Jason Ball's comeback win over Kam Atakuru at Ultimate Force 5: Fight Factory the most exciting UK MMA fight of the year. His opponent, the classy Dave Metcalf is moving up in weight to challenge him.

Crowd pleasers Wayne Murray and Paul Jenkins clash in a fight that is guaranteed to produce fireworks. As well as the main event - followers of the Heavyweight scene will get the chance to take a look at the highly rated Neil Wain. Wain has a huge fan club thanks to his thrilling, all action style. Many experts have tipped Neil Wain to go to the very top and Victor Aniolek is the man who has to face his devastating onslaught this time out. Ian Jones will hope to get back to winning ways, but faces a tough test in the shape of Welsh warrior Daniel "Denzil" Thomas.
