Per Eklund to Debut at UFC 80

Per Eklund will become the first Swedish fighter to fight in the UFC after signing a four fight, 18-month deal.
He will make his debut at UFC 80: Rapid Fire in Newcastle, England in January though no opponent has been named. Eklund was originally rumored to be facing Terry Etim at the event but Etim will reportedly be fighting Sam Stout instead.
He will enter his first career UFC fight with a 12-2-1 career MMA record including wins in his last four fights. A veteran of BodogFight, Eklund’s last bout was an October win over Rafael Dias at BodogFight Vancouver.
